Just as fog clears away in spring’s hot sun
My courage clears away in front of you
You do not know my feelings and you do
Not know my intentions I left undone
The hedgehog beating in my left chest’s sphere
It keeps me safe – it keeps me all alone
Throughout the time the hedgehog’s spikes have grown
My heart is pierced whenever you are near
And yet I seek the pain like moths the light
Oh if my dreams come true I will combust
This quandary makes suicidal lust
The light bulb which attracts my love at night
But I would rather die than live in slackness
Just as the moth that prefers death to blackness

Not sure what you are speaking about --
fear of loving someone?
fear of rejection?
fear of life?
I quickened to the line of the moth preferring death to darkness. It's a reversal of how we think of moths, right? That they head for the light, we know, but you flipped the perception. Very nice. |
