As the sky blots the stains from midnight’s inky wells
When bats flap, moths flit, and moonlight slowly falls
Upon men lay slain in lonely slumber
Where reason wilts, betrayed, as imagination wanders
Through rose scented memories of long lost love that did not last the course
Where innocence and youth crashed recklessly and did not pause for thought
They awake to sunlight melting frozen dewdrops burdening the grass
Like the shards of ice of broken dreams that live warming in their hearts

to write a poem as sweet as this, that lost love must have been a lost that will be hard to replace.
that is a great one, no need telling that it will take a pinpoint concentration to come up with a poem as this. nice piece |
