Sleep Now

Walking canes on sale for five ninety five
what a price to make him seem alive
his stride is slow, in no hurry to go
and find the greener pastures
An old man he is, older than the ground he stands upon
a thousand memorys and all have come and gone
and he shudders to think of the consequence
of lacking reverence, to the moon and stars
These days they take a toll
on classical men who tell of scrolls
and documents of penners past
and these pains they relieve at last
Too much turmoil for the frailty he is
now is not the time to count his sins
its a time for rest
So sleep now
and dream of better days
