I will want what I want
I will be who I want to be
You will never know the pain
When you said I’d never be free
Now you have my heart
But it’s shattering as you walk
Now I know you don’t have action
You’re just a lot of talk
So now I’m pushing and pulling
In the small heart you put me in
But as I tire out
I know I’ll never win
So I’ll sit here and wait
For you to set me free
Oh it would be much easier
If I could find the key
But here I still wait
Knowing it will take long
I guess I’ll be like a bird
And sing a pretty song
I won’t be like a caged bird
And I won’t let you get to me
Because I will always know
Someday I will be free
