It goes
Tucked in its rails
The horizon approaches
And the trees
They fade in and out
The cows, they stare
And the window gets wider
My body collapses
And I forget

Again
Blood thickens
Veins won’t support
And the beat gets uneven
The movie goes on
It expects the tears
To fall
But I’m all out

The instrument
Needs adjusting
The glass all dirty
The cab doesn’t know where to go
And the stars go hiding
Pray for the sun to shine
Albeit the clouds

For centuries you’re here
You and I and everyone else were looking
For
A soul to replace the void
That is
Building in
Love is
When you smile for me
And pain comes
When time kicks in
And
What makes us tick
Is
The warmth your hands give
The drinks you pour for me
And in my stomach rests
The tingling
It seeps in
Nests
Blossoms with tears
Explodes with screams
Shakes my world from within
Rips open my mouth
For the words to come out
Twisted
And marinated in hate
I need not your love
Need not your lips
Need not be loved
Not be kissed
And I plead
Death
To give me peace
