Of the days I always dreamt for
And how they have come soon
Because I made them

But a crack in voice,
A breakdown sorrow
A holding onto time
Because I'm gone now

How could I
After all these years
Have forgotten about you,
The one I'd leave behind
And you, how could you
Still miss me?

I never thought you'd notice
A rat creeping out,
I'd always been your menace
Your obstacle to peace,
A proud propagator of hell,
A breeder of indignation

I stood in everyone's way
To keep the dryer from turning cycles
Drying us all out of dignity,
Leaving no drop of civilized nature

But I was just a piece of trash
Clogging up the machine
Of a happy family

And you, how could you
Still miss me?
Making it hard to hate,
To make a full break,
To stomp out proudly
Into the scary world
That never scared me more
Than home

I lost long ago
Notion of mother, father, healthy
But you, somehow you
Still long for the shadow of me
Upon your doorstep
How could you?

After I have left you
With a spare room
Full of abandonment
Stars I cannot reach for you
Hopes I refused to fulfill

Soul searching beauty tinged with such self-recrimination. Beautiful rhythm and eloquent prose. Wonderful. Be well. Nigmart.
