There resides within my heart a passion that burns as hot as the sun
A match for this had not been seen until I met this special one
Drawing back the shades that kept it hidden from the worlds view
I let it shine and flourish at times, not wanting it to be too much for you

What I discovered recently is that you were absorbing those feelings deep inside
Not revealing that you held a powerful passion also, yet from the world you did hide
Glimpses of your power you have graced me to see
Have each time caused me to fall to my knees

What I believed burned inside me to be a solitary element lost in time
You have taken and joined with yours melting them into one, pure and fine
The longing and desire that was found to be in my eyes
Is just the surface of the well, for it is as vast as the skies
