Of us
Remains in my pocket
Even though you
Are long gone
I miss you so much
That it pains me
To think of you

You didn't even have
The decency to say
Goodbye
When you left
You took so many things
With you
You took my
Courage
You took my
Deepest secrets
You took the time
To get to know me
Slowly tearing down
The walls I built up around
Myself
As I spilt my heart
To you

You were my shoulder
To cry on
My relief from the pain
Of the taunting
And tormenting kids
At school
You knew everything
About me
You shared my feelings
You understood
Me
But it was too
Hard for you to admit
That you were in love
So you left
Without thinking about anybody
But yourself

Now all I have
Left to remember you by
Is a barely visible
Black and white
Picture of us
Sitting underneath the tree
Where you first kissed me
Back when you
Were still truly
Happy
Now that is only

I know EXACTLY what you mean. People can be so selfish...

Lovely write. Felt the pain and anguish here. Great job. And darling, love comes and goes. It's just a matter of destiny when the right love will come along. All the best.

Happier Dayz,
