leave me waking and hollow;

this sunrise is nothing
without your dreamless breath
filling me.

i realized the moon had made you its child -

and i remained your miserable creature
wishing to be the soil you melted in constantly.

the mirror speaks without discretion.

i must die today.

i accept the possibility of fading from your heart.
i accept you never waiting for my tragic ghost.

my arms wrap around the silence
just as a martyr
embraces flame;

i do not listen for your voice for salvation.

i am patient;

i rid my skin of its layers with a mother's touch

smiling softly,
sad and sympathetic as the fat presents itself;
the sleeping muscles;
the threads of vein pulsing gently.

buddhists speak calmly from my fingertips,
nirvana carved into mortal viscera,

bathed in sacred vermillion.

fleshless,

i am reminded of the sunsets we never died in.

Random thought: Don't you worry bout two left feet. Shake it up!!!! Okay seriously now...

This wasn't the easiest poem for me to read...people dying...I do not deal well with death. However, with that said it speaks how well you can write!!! Powerfully well! Something that can cause the reader that much emotion spells success.
