Blossomed as fragrant flowers,
While watching the tree tops in the woods
Which were brushing the canvas of the sky
Where clouds were rolling with big strides,
My mind turned into a sweet melody -
At evening, the breeze blew eddying it self into
A heart rending wail as the last bubbles of twilight
Burst and merged into the spreading darkness;
I leaned against the broken wall of a way side inn
And rested my head marveling at the sweetness
Of solitude, I enjoyed in the woods..
~*~
When the intense fragrance of flowers that
Bloomed some where in the forest caressed
Me in a warm and hearty embrace of breeze,
When a pair of birds softly cooing while
Sharing a mysterious joy in the nearby trees,
I felt how blessed was the life on this earth
And, when I started to sing like a cuckoo
In such a blissful mood, all of a sudden
I was shocked to hear a piercing shriek of pain:
The scream of a hapless bird in the throes of death.
Who was the hunter? whom should I curse?-
Though I wondered like a sage, yet
I could not suppress my tears!

Dear venkat,

This is simply a beautiful verse. . . encompassing both one stark, wee tragedy of nature & the bittersweet throes of life, on the luckiest planet,
the blue marble, Earth. Such is the duality of the universe. I am humbled & blessed to be a part of it. A wonderful write, my friend. Bliss.

elle :)
