Array ( [sid] => 159467 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The Life of a Liar [time] => 2010-05-02 16:53:43 [hometext] => I don't think I've ever written a peom that I'm not proud of. Not that my writings are great but, words are powerful (Someone here told me) and this poem was meant to hurt. Never again. [bodytext] => I guess we all must tell one lie
separate from all the others
tell just one, before we die
someone that it will bother

I think we all must be one kind
of one organic prize
maybe win just one last time
but,.... I really don't want to try

It's not that I have given up
it's not that I just quit
Maybe a bit discouraged
content to idly sit

why should I even tell that lie
when many will do it for me
venom spews from caustic mouths
their wrath for all to see

they live to tell just what they think
to anyone who'll listen
to slowly kill, how low they'll sink
their fangs oh how they glisten

Their hidden face of wrinkled matte
They hide from all to see
They hide that lie, a thin disguise
when will they set me free

They live alone and for err' will be
with their "Johnny Walker Wisdom"
Tho' death defy they crucify
small unwilling victims

They have no kindness in their soul
on innocents they do trod
their words like lightning and thunder roll
It's sad they have no God
