That was beaten black and blue
Her father was a maniac
And her mother was one too.

One day she got up
And walked right out the door
She was finished with all the pain
She didn’t want that anymore

She found a place to hide
Where no one could possibly see
But just in case she put up a lock
And then threw away the key

Some people came by
And broke down the door
They took her away
But they didn’t tell her what for

She was taken to a place
Where they saw her body so black
And every one said
She would never go back

I write to you now
To tell you the truth
People are out there
Beating the youth

If you are one
Just please hold on
People will come
And you will see the dawn

What a wonderful poem. You write the emotions of this little girl so well, It's like I can see her in my head. Great job.

I wish this could be used in conjunction with NSPCC adverts. An emotional piece.Aliopterix.
