Array ( [sid] => 159173 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Walls [time] => 2010-04-24 00:11:03 [hometext] => First draft, about trying to get through barriers that someone's built to protect themselves, but I'm thousands of miles away at the moment. [bodytext] => Walls like glass surround a place
Perfect, beautiful and serene,
But fear of destruction keeps closed the gate.
Of others who’s heart’s obscene.
I stand outside the walls.
Longing for the other side.
Built as strong as steel.
Protecting whats inside.
Why they’re built is no secret
No assault will allow admittance
Nor will simply asking,
For fear the Trojan Horse,
None are allowed within.
I wish to be inside the walls
I must prove I’m not a Trojan
But simply put,
My flag is not enough
Perseverance and Patience,
Two necessities, but more,
Something more is needed
I will stand at the gates,
As long as I need to show
That I am who I say; I am what I say,
I don’t know how long,
But here I stand today.
As of now you cannot see,
How my soul shines through my eyes,
My body telling you whats really true.
As of now you cannot hear
My soul carries along my voice,
If you could see and hear me
My soul you would as well
And I know you would know,
Who I really am. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 173 [topic] => 48 [informant] => seanBon [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

This write just reached out and grabbed me by the heart.
It reminds me of the only male I EVER TRUSTED AND HE WOULD BE 'BOUT 1,000 miles away right now.
Good luck.
Huggs, blessings, tears,
emy

I admire the strength of conviction that this person
possesses. Not to mention the patience. That is
something worthy of nobility. Your descriptions in
this were perfect. Never relent!

Well done. -- Achelois

A write full of strength and conviction never ready to give in. This is very admirable and you can feel the power contained in this piece. An excellent write.
