Clouds like ancient cotton wool
conceal a burrowed half moon
reflecting light from a bright full sun
half a jewel in a cloudy pool
face down in mud,
too deep to touch
I miss you
stood frozen In the snowy air
watching through the window
at a warm, happy room
so thirsty am I
I badly want a drink
I can't, I can't reach the cup

I can feel the longing in this poem, especially with the last stanza. Beautiful writing here. You have included amazing imagery in the first couple of stanzas.

I agree with Heidi great imagery in this and a huge sense of longing for what you can see but can't have well written |
