Soon will be the day when I can hold you in my arms
My grip will be gentle, yet firm not ceasing until you ask
Soon will be the day when our cheeks finally together brush
The touch of your skin will bring reality to life

Soon will be the day our lips will first meet
I have spent many hours dreaming of the taste of your kiss
Soon will be the day I will look deeply into your eyes
To this point I have only traveled to your soul through your words

Soon will be the day when as I whisper in your ear
You will feel my breath as each word echoes to your core
Soon will be the day you will see the happiness you bring out in me
The love, the passion, the desire and the life I thought had been lost forever

The Day

Soon will be the day when I can hold you in my arms
My grip will be gentle, yet firm not ceasing until you ask
Soon will be the day when our cheeks finally together brush
The touch of your skin will bring reality to life

Soon will be the day our lips will first meet
