That insecure glint in your eye
Nobody seemed to care
Only when you left did they ask 'Why?'

Maybe you didn't know who you wanted to be
You felt betrayed by your family
You didn't think that we
Were treated equally

When we were young we'd play with our toys
And when we'd fight they'd say 'Boys will be boys'
We didn't know which way our lives would go
A fragile mind versus a strong individual

It's no good looking at what might have been
Because you cannot change what you have seen
You want that smile again
You don't want that pain

No-one can go back and change the past
But the future is still in our hands
I hope that someone can understand

If ever you catch a falling star
If you live the life that I've lived, you'll go far
I know you don't want to be all alone
That's why I believe
One day you'll find your way home

Please remember what I say
And come back home to us one day

Sad but really good writing.
If they read this I don't see how they could resist.
huggs, blessings,
