what ever happened to the open fields the meadows
where children passed the time so sweetly
A kiss of love for the passing jackal

Brother wont you save me from the bumble bees
Caloused feet dash across the dirt
none can catch me, none can dare
For i am my own god, lord of Earth and air

Ant hills speck the lot from birdseye
they speak my name as creator
for who is the earth caked boy
who stands at length with the moon

The stars his brethren as he runs at night
guiding fathers to his kingdom
of three acres barren
His home, his love, his light

Untouched by fear, untouched by pain
Nothing to lose and all to gain
passion never was the same
as sprinting feet through summers grain

Tears fill the eyes of the creater
For he will never be greater
than standing over his fiefdoms grand
and holding times fading hand [comments] => 2 [counter] => 151 [topic] => 44 [informant] => regent [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 14 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Nostalgic )

Wow,
Very moving, awesome write. Reminds me of my childhood days, running bare foot thru the butter cup fields. It really takes me back.

Nothing to lose and all to gain, that wonderful time of your life where you had freedom, beautifully expressive
