i cannot grasp the life before me niether do i want to know
to see the future pass so gently not take me where i want to go
i cannot hear the world around me muted by my own free will
replaced in kind and so soundly with a back beat i can feel
i can touch but never feel you numbed am i from what is true
whats not there cannot kill you so i wait and sit this through
until the day my heart grows stronger just to see the faintest spark
