I lay awake in bed, thinking of you,
You lay awake with that same thought too,
Too many things come to mind,
Like pulling a thread, the sweater unwinds,
Those bright baby blues that stare into mine,
God has brought her to me; it must be a sign,
They say a house divided cannot stand,
She is my girl, and I am her man,
This love is new, not known my past,
It will be here forever, immortally last.
