There are cries out of the darkness
And those that go unheard
And there are those that tell a story
With the truth in every word

And there are those that cry for justice
For as they lie and bleed
They cry out in their hunger
To fill their wanton need

And those who cry in triumph
As they stand upon our backs
As they ever try to lead us on
To follow in their tracks

And then there are the voices
That cry in desperate plight
To fill our ears with their awful screams
As they wake us in the night

And there are those that cry in sadness
And whose tears constant flow
Cannot still the sorrows
Nor comfort can they show

And there are those whose cry of foul
At each and every turn
I think we’d know by now
That it’s those that never learn

And there are those that cry for wisdom
Though now it might be late
To change the path once chosen
Or to bare the burdens weight.

Yet another fantastic poem. Really dark and yet I read hope between the lines. Great work.

And there are those who write good poetry
Although a little dark
To open up our ears
And shatter our fragile hearts.

Sorry, couldn't resist!

i love your symmetry, really good poem!.
