then a day

shall come and soon

when darkness gives

no

choice,

when even shadows

fear the moon

and hearing not

it's

voice.

When life becomes

the things

we

fear

merely

just by coming

near,

alone at last

from inside out

then shall we see

what life's

about.

And when upon

the stage of life

no longer shall we reign,

cut our hearts out with a knife

to nullify

the

pain.

When screams of babies

fill the night

as babies screams

will

do,

when something tells us

nothings right

'tis then we'll know

it's

true.

Like beggars

looking for a crumb

amidst a rich mans

feast,

so shall our starving hearts

grow numb surcoming to the

beast.

Enslaved

to every pound of flesh

that tempts us in the night,

silk and lace and hints

of

mesh

shall blind us

with there

light.

For

soon an evil though unseen

shall make it's presence known,

a lesson learned to late

in leaving well enough

alone.

Horrors

we shall all endure

like none we've known before,

univited evil

waiting just outside

our

door.

To

suck us dry

right where we lie

leaving us for dead,

a gormet meal for any fly

landing,

on our

bed.

Ben

Ben,
you were not just kidding when you said this is a dark one. I loved it though and I agree.
Though I think alot of this is infact going on right now as myself and many others can attest to. Why use scare tactics about hell hell is earth ya know??????

Good work here

Hi,

Dark, uncompromising, unforgiving, and entirely
pessimistic - but I like the style and flow.

Well written!

Tommy
