It's hard not to be me,
I wish I wasn't me,
But who would I be if I wasn't me.

Crying at night,
Wishing I could fight the fear & pain,
Wishing I could wake up
And not be afraid.

It's every where I turn,
I can't escape,
But I can't give in either.

I envy those who eat so freely,
Without fear or pain,
Without terror.

No one really knows how it is,
They can't understand,
Maybe because I won't let them,
But that doesn't matter,
They just don't understand.

I crave to be like them,
But i'm not,
I'm me,
But I hate being me. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 196 [topic] => 43 [informant] => 0o_Jelly_Bean_o0 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Hell I've been feeling that way about myself for nearly eighty years. You get used to it. Mind you .....it's not all the time.....sometimes I feel good about myself when I do something nice for my wife.......but it doesn't last long

What makes you think youre different to anybody else?

Been there, had those feelings and have learned that being yourself is great. Seems there are always others far worse of than we are
Good write

everyone is different, everyone has to be who they are, you too will survive, and dont say i dont understand, because i do, you just have to be brave.
