It's the first thing I've ever shown to anyone else, let alone everyone else! [bodytext] => Who brings the light when your eyes are closed?
and what colour are the heavens in your dreams?
Find the water and its true reflection,
and smile into the sky beneath your feet.

What was the song that put wings on your feet?
and where is the rope that tethers them to the earth?
Find your heartbeat and its secret mantra,
and paint with sound on silent air.

Where is the place that you had long forgotten?
and what is the story that you long to tell?
Find a space between the days,
and light the candles in your hands.

What is the image that makes you cry?
and when was the moment that you looked away?
Find a picture that makes the sun rise,
and sleep with it against your soul.

What are the birds that sing in the morning?
and why was the day so special to you?
Find the grass and the familiar flowers,
and fall upon the fragrant earth.

When did you float above the towers?
and who did you wave to from the clouds?
Find the view that fits your focus,
and gaze upon your living map.

Where did you go when the night was waking?
and when did the stars fall into your hair?
Find a stone to throw at the moon,
and break the rock that hides the day.

Why were you sad when the pages ended?
and where did you hide the impossible words?
Find a feeling between the chapters,
and hold onto the paper hearts. [comments] => 6 [counter] => 159 [topic] => 65 [informant] => BenVanDiemen [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 25 [ratings] => 5 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => toughstuff )

I just had to comment again.
if this is never published
in a book of poetry
then it would be a sin.
again just beautiful.

Take care

thankyou for your kind comments, I have a few more that I promise I will post on here soon. I did try to submit this to a few publishers, but never recieved any replies, maybe I went about it the wrong way? Like I said, I'm a bit of a novice!
