It's Us vs Them

Contributed by The_Unknown on Tuesday, 9th February 2010 @ 10:34:48 PM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

There's only an "us" because
There is a "them"

All they've got is words as a shield to hide behind
But I'm sorry, it's just text on paper
That doesn't mean much to me
I would enjoy calling them hypocrites
For they hate when love is all that is wanted
They can call us sinners
But they have no higher immunity
They live false to what they preach
So please, stop the preaching
The repetative arguments ache my ears
If they're going to express their wretched opinions
I dare ask:
Use some new material

Bible toting hypocritical people who call themselves Christians comes to mind when I read it.

I am definitely avoiding the soapbox here but to anyone else who may happen upon this...I did not say all Christians are hypocritical, I simply said as it read.

Anywho, I like the statement you've made with this one. Nicely done.

Thanks,

Tim

The method of redundancy is very clever
if a wolf always dresses like a sheep some will start to believe
while others are not sure
very few will try to expose it
and more than likely those few will not be believe
because the story is always the same
and there is strength in tradition
i.e the repetative arguments
your perspective is strong in force
and seemingly unshakeable
