And down I値l fall,
Spiraling into an eternity of nothing.
I知 standing at the end of a street,
Wind is rushing all around me,
I hear the roar of the twister,
I see it coming to me,
I open my arms wide,
Ready to embrace it,
Hopefully I値l be uplifted toward the celestial skies.

I close my eyes,
I hear the never-ending thunder around me,
The thunder of people who will never reach me,
So I lay on the ground cold and lonely,
Watching the rain,
Knowing that my heart is slowly leaving me.

I really liked this opening line. Thematically, it reminded me of one of Emily Dickinson's poems, where you are in pain and the body just goes through the motions until healing hopefully comes

I read this several times, for me it is a fantastic write, sad, painful.
a true vision of despair and loneliness.

I close my eyes,
I hear the never-ending thunder around me,
The thunder of people who will never reach me,
So I lay on the ground cold and lonely,
Watching the rain,
Knowing that my heart is slowly leaving me.

Take care
Fuzzy
