I used to feel at home, never as a guest,
Deliberately believing that we are one;
A perfect blend of east and west.

You were the dream and the reality,
The peaceful prosperous free land,
Which in the face of darkness and brutality
Could powerfully and lawfully stand!

Yet the days surprised me with the bitterest treat
From a friend who had more to hide than to reveal,
Who once taught me that freedom will never retreat;
An ally who sold my dignity for a cheap low deal!

Alas...the loss of so glorious a face!
Strangely how the remedy could turn into pain,
While trying to win a filthy race;
Coldly strangling liberty and peace with a chain!

Salaam, ya Sayyidatee!

Yep-your skills are great-anti maahir jiddan-this one shows you just how dangerous is the modern world we live in-and how nowadays, liberty and democracy are but mere jokes at the hands of politicians...

Well said. Hopefully America will dispose of Bush and his fascist crew and put someone in who is not a warmongering cretin. In America however money doesn't talk, it swears (B Dylan) so who or what can we hope for in the future as president? Michael Jackson's chimp?
