Array ( [sid] => 157091 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Lost Horizon [time] => 2010-01-30 13:12:46 [hometext] => I've lost many that I loved very dearly... but none stuck with me through all my stages of life as this one in particular has. [bodytext] => Within the dark I reminisce
Of the greater days I'll always miss
Though life has surely proved its worth
My spirit hosts wounds that'll always hurt
Still I only wish I could believe
That nothing can take away my dreams
The one place you will never leave
Where you rest within my memory

Yet still I miss that summer bliss
The sun's transcendant warming kiss
The clouds that took away our dreams
As we'd watch the fantasies they'd weave
And the grass within its endless waves
Danced with ardor as we raved
Amidst the hues of better days

My heart has aged, yet still it sings
The song I'd heard within that wind
That made us caper with the ephemeral breeze
And the transient pulse it carried through the trees
It was to the stars we gave our hearts
Imploring that they never part
As we thrusted forward in the dark

The twilight watched us as we strayed
Cradled in the moonlight's rays
Scoping the horizon's line
Awaiting the sun's eternal shine
It came only once and it did not hold
The world and reality turned bitter cold
And still, eternally, wait for us both

We were left to wallow in our misery
Running lost and alone for eternity
Never to recover our true happiness
Our hearts, the song, that state of bliss
And I'm curious now if you look up at the sky
And watch the world solemnly pass us by
All the great while inquiring as to why
Our love had to fail

And the sun failed to shine [comments] => 1 [counter] => 211 [topic] => 75 [informant] => satanssecret1369 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => anguished )
