Wake me
Build me up and break me
Peel me away
From this slow decay
Day after day
With this pent up rage
Locked away in a heart shaped cage
I fought
I lost
My heart it cost
Now I'm sitting here in pieces
Stuck with only what my pen releases
But you don't get it
You'll never understand
Hand in hand
With an empty man
Goodbye to you
Goodbye to me
Farewell to the tragedy
It's time to start your own
Inside a broken home
You rest your head with the dead
Remembering every word I've ever said
And I'm a million miles away
With a million things still left to say
But I'll leave them unspoken
Silently heartbroken
Because there's no room for regret
No way to forgive, no chance to forget
But I won't hide, no disguise
As I walk away with weeping eyes
Hurt by the lies
Betrayed by the trust
Like ashes to ashes and dust to dust
We all fall down
So get off my throne and give me back my crown
What goes up must come down
And we've reached the end...my friend?
Because this won't get any better
It's just a ripped up love letter
About a girl who broke my heart
And how I'm learning to forget her.
