And I've been through a lot of things
It hurt to see the end of my life
And have to give up all my dreams.
I held on as long as I could,
but it just wasn't enough.
He ran away in a cloud of dust,
and left me there to weep.
I laid there on the dirty floor,
and shivered in the dark.
Wondering what I could have done
to deserve what I got.
Tears tried to roll down,
I fought to hold them back.
I refused to show my weakness
no matter what it took.
It's the end now,
I'm at the edge of the rope,
The light fades away
as it tightens around my throat.
The sun comes up, the darkness starts to fade
I'm left all alone
crying, because I want to go home. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 207 [topic] => 61 [informant] => flamingblade [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => selfstruggles )

Always one of the most personal, sad and darkest subjects out there to write about and when I read poetry talking about it many sound the same and I always feel for the person. But this was different. This was chilling and most of all gripping. The emotions are very strong in this write.
