I keep trying to find you
Find you in every wish I make
Find you in every dream I make
And I know it sounds like a cliché
But you are certainly on my mind
Not necessarily you, or is it
Maybe the idea of you
But there is more to you than the idea of you
I may not be doing you justice,
But maybe I am,
How much do I really know of you
And how much did you really know of you
To long for each other
Or for me to long for you
So maybe I long for the idea of you
I knew you were a mess
But you were also great
Great is what I wanted for us
Great is what I knew you could be
Great is what a part of you was
And great is what I could be with you
I keep looking for you
But I think you’re gone,
I think I lost you
And so be it,
You were loving, that I know
We were alike, that I know
There is much in me that you liked, that I know
But you were gone,
You still are gone
And forever will be
We had a dream
And we shared that,
It was gonna be ideal
If not for the scenes
I guess it wasn’t meant to be,
Everything went wrong
In every possible way,
Maybe all I can do is sit and wait
I could go on, for long,
I could go on for how much I miss you
And how much it filled my bones,
But I guess it won’t do any good now,
What good are all these lines anyways
That’s why by here they end…

Keep trying to find you
I keep trying to find you
Find you in every wish I make
Find you in every dream I make
And I know it sounds like a cliché
But you are certainly on my mind

I have to agree with Fuzzy.
This was tenderly written, & with much heartache. You question yourself many times within this poem,
and there is nothing wrong with that at all. I commend you for it!
