Remorse is a powerful emotion
whats written here doesn't seem pathetic as we usually are
when we realize we made a mistake
It feels deeply sincere
so much that it brought a smile to my heart
you captured the true essence of what it is to need that someone

Rarely do we realize what we have until it is gone. Your poem illustrates this perfectly. but there is hope in the lesson that we, as humans, can evolve; can learn; can benefit from mistake. Though it's true we can never gain ground in the past, we can use our experience for future promise and reward. Very sad post. But there is hope, even in this. Take care.
