Events have been set into place
To take me to the end of the race
When you know it is your time to die
Always there springs up the question, why?

For me the question was always, when?
Because there are things I need to do before then
Though I have always tried to do things right
Within me there has been this endless fight

You say, who cares, you are a thief, and you deserve what you get
I have not given up the right to have you pass judgment yet
That will come when they finally lay me in my grave
Perhaps another life then you will be able to save

As I close and say my final farewell
You ask, what did I steal to put me through such Hell
I took something so precious that I knew was not mine from the start
I stole your amazingly beautiful Heart

I was unsure what to expect from the beginnings of this, but that ending really touched me. The heart continually overrides the head does it not? We are helpless. Completely helpless. This was an excellent piece.
