Can you hear my frozen cry?
Oh what I wouldn't give for
One hot chocolate, or mince pie...

Think of me when you've had your feasts
And settled down for your naps
Oh what I wouldn't give for
You to leave me out some scraps...

My cardboard box is bowed and wet
Weighed down with heavy snow
Oh what I wouldn't give for
Somewhere dry, and warm to go...

Abandoned by my parents young
For their selfishness I paid this price
Oh what I wouldn't give for
Just once, to be part of something nice...

If I could start today again
And you had another chance
Oh what I wouldn't give for
You to please give me a second glance...

It's very sad that people are homeless, i think anyone who wants a home should be able, a home of some kind in my town so many empty buildings just sit rotting empty for years, something entered my head the other day what some people would give for just a Central heated shed and a bed.

Take care

Great write. But, so sad. It's tragic that homelessness is so prevelant in this country. Especially with (as someone posted earlier) so many empty buildings left to sit and rot. Thanks for reminding us all that there are so many out there that need our help.

Hi,

Nice verse to bring attention to those whose
Christmas will probably border on the 'miserable!'

Well written and thoughtful in its theme!

Tommy
