But the truth is your greedy and empty,
And the fact is you’re out of control.

Your belief makes you self-righteous,
Confident and arrogant and vain.
Your God is consumption and sport,
And you expect to be entertained.

This accuser no doubt makes you angry,
No doubt you demand to strike,
But have you ever thought or said,
Anything profound in your life?

Yea, it’s all about you.
To be about you - it’s your ultimate goal.
But the life you lead is meaningless,
And the fact is you’ve lost your soul.

So blind and you don’t know it.
So sick with greed and drink.
But adversity is right behind you,
Much closer than you think.

And when that day comes,
As sure as the wind blows,
I’ll be confident, arrogant and vain,
And tell you I told you so.

Yea, it’s all about you,
The man’s told you so.
But the truth is your greedy and empty,
And the fact is you’re out of control.

Wow,The truth is this poem is so right on
that many won't even respond it's really sad you know
how blinded we are by the lights the wars
the drink and pride in something we don't even own
What I wish is that people would wake up
because the enemy is of us and on our heels
the cleansing is being fortified right before our eyes
but theres budweiser for truth
