What I Live for

Contributed by corpsman2000 on Friday, 18th December 2009 @ 06:42:50 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

It started with the strangest of things,
I never could understand what brought you to me

Was it my smile and looks or something deeper inside?
Or was it a felling you got when I was by your side?

Whatever it was that brought you to me
I’ll do anything to keep you, I’ll beg and plead

Never this way have I felt so strong
With you I actually feel as if I belong

My beautiful Sarah that I give my heart to
Any challenges we face, I know we can get through

Love is tough, sometimes a true war
But to keep you I’ll give anything or do any chore

You make me smile you make laugh
Without you I would be less than half

I live every day for the smell of your perfume
The sweet scent makes my heart truly bloom

Our hands entwined and I feel so calm
Walking together hands palm to palm

You say forever and always and it’s music to my ears
The words that mean from sadness never will I have to shed a tear

If ever there is any doubt in what your love does to me
May this poem show you my love for you can fill the sea
