I take in their intentions and bury them within. I see all of their fears in perfectly clear view. This is what teaches me exactly what NOT to do. I watch how they learn and the way they feed on each other. I monitor their discretions and note their need for lovers. After all the time spent watching Ive finally learnt how to see, that people are the truth, they are the beginning of you and me.

They depend solely on each other, not really needing much more. This has taught me to walk solo, even though its often a bore. I dont want to be dependant on anyone but me.

Ive finally come to realise that life isnt a game. Its not about reality or what we make of the same. Life isnt just living and its not some kind of test. Life doesnt have a purpose until we come to rest. Wow, very strong observations. Many times it is only at the end of our lives that our purpose is actually known by the world, but our every day life should be a part of that purpose. I agree there are many bad seeds in the world, but there are many many more who are good and do not fit the description placed here. This is a great piece though, I am not trying to take anything away from that.

I disagree with deadwriter, or rather I think he's missed the point. I think it's not that these people you're describing are "bad", they are just human -- every person is selfish on some level, its only a matter of seeing it in them.

Personally though, I'm extremely confused by the last line. Life isn't just living, it isn't about making something of the world, and it doesn't have a purpose until you die? I can't bring myself to agree. Death may indeed create a purpose for our lives, but only by our awareness of it, it doesn't make life meaningful only after one dies.

I'm curious, if life isn't just living, and it's not equivalent to consciousness (making something of reality) either, what exactly are you getting at?
