How do feelings bring so much despair?
They soar you so high then break your heart
Cuts you up in pieces tears you apart,
Never giving you a second look, thought or a care.
“Its just life”, they say, don’t you think that’s unfair?

How do you justify the happiness your after?
All the love the smiles and the laughter,
When you know this could be the birth of a new day
With the one you love there is nothing to say.
Your minds thinking in unison your hearts beat as one,
All you both want is to be in the sun.

Why is the world so unfair?
How do you live giving so much despair?
With taking their love and breaking their hearts
Cutting them tearing them in parts.
Can you never give them a second look, thought or care?
Or is that just life? Do you think that’s unfair?

Yes it's unfair! Fortunately I have stayed best friends with the guys in my past relationships... (save one but I won't go there). Thanks for sharing this!

There seems to be no fairness or real balance in our lives...this expresses the despair very well. Your writing seems to go from strength Carmen..Your'e obviously inspired.

who can say what is fair and what isnt, it means different things to different people.
Having choices in life is a privilege, whether we choose to use this wisely or not is up to us.

thought provoking piece of writing.
