Isolation and loneliness
Came my way and started to succeed
Of course this wasn't the right intention
Not ever in my mind was this meant to be

I saw you running happily with the rest of them
While I was out there, standing in the cold
On a lonely one way street waiting in the dark
Did you ever stop to wonder or even think
How the lonely manage with the ways of this
Story we tell, song that we sing
The concept which we call "life"

But never mind now for it is all over
The damage is done and there's no room
For remorse or any forms of regret
This is because there is no need to be upset

Alas, there is one bit of advice I shall
Give to you now
Think twice before leaving
Before you walk away from a friend
Don't make someone feel like another

Wise and thoughtful words my friend. Alas.....if we would all consider the feelings of others what a wonderful place this old world might be...

Very well done
