Little has changed in my heart
Except now my heart is a void
Empty of all the things that made me feel
Reflecting, I ponder what I may have destroyed

Knowing only too well the outcome
I braved to dispel heartache and pain
Thinking this would be the best path
Thinking that I must, I must refrain

And for a while it seemed to work
My mind cleared, I thought!
Only to find I was covered in dust
Now I am alone and I feel as if caught

This future was not in my plan
Not what I was seeking all these years
Hidden to myself and only surfacing recently
Only to find now I am losing you in my tears

Little has changed in my heart
Except now my heart is a void
Empty of all the things that made me feel
