With a lonely sigh silently escaping.
Really not at all myself, consumed with broken moments.

I see the light at the end of it
So near yet so far, but running round in circles
After awhile, beats me to the core.

Each day going through the motions.
So many around feeling the same way.
People everywhere, blue and dismayed.
It hangs in the air, suffocating the beauty.

The holiday season in full bloom,
Lights dancing in the windows.
Yet the sense of gloom and doom
Dancing ever close around me.

I feel I am the ash, of yesterdays now past.
Burned to bits of rubble scattered in the wind.
Lost inside this big city, not knowing where to turn.
A fast escape from the misery is exactly for what I yearn.

So once again instead of ash,
I can be my blooming self.
Ride the fire that has consumed me
Brighter than before……………….

These days I walk in misted haze

I seriously relate to this sad poem. Ugh, the feeling of being so forlorn and so much dismay.

Lost inside this big city, not knowing where to turn. That is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo me too.

Reminded me of some leonard cohen Lyrics Michelle. Believe me a total and unequivocal compliment.

"And who are you?" she sternly spoke
to the one beneath the smoke.
"Why, I'm fire," he replied,
"And I love your solitude, I love your pride."
"Then fire, make your body cold,
I'm going to give you mine to hold,"
saying this she climbed inside
to be his one, to be his only bride.
It was deep into his fiery heart
he took the dust of Joan of Arc,
and then she clearly understood
if he was fire, oh then she must be wood.
