Him I Lost To Her

Contributed by Desi on Friday, 4th April 2003 @ 10:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

My breath became ragged and my face flushed when he neared me. Our eyes met and I poured my heart and soul into him. I trusted him, I loved him. My hands grew clammy and my heart skipped a beat as he let out a slow breath. I parted my lips slightly as he grew closer to my face. He smiled his soft, beautiful smile. But then she came, she came like a harsh wind from behind me. They embrased each other, like lovers of a solid midnight do. My heart fell heavy, like rain on a cloudy day.I felt a tear roll down my cheeck as I walked into the sun.

MMMMMMM....intriguing, very explicit with human feelings and passions-and yet sorry-I'm not really a guy who likes prose poems!...all I can say is, it's never a pretty thing when you lose your beloved to someone else....
