[title] => A Stone’s Throw Away from the Shadows of the Gods…

[bodytext] => I reached the foothills of the forbidden mountain. With no given altitude, that was the extent of her love. And outside the walls of my heart, no ventricle could contain the flow. Glistening ever so slightly in the morning dew, marble stairs wound past thoughts increasingly taboo. Pillars stood tall above the Acropolis’ heights, as knowledge became increasingly obscured, eclipsed by blinding lights. The intricate engravings - scrolls of parchment and terracotta tile decorated the halls. And as the foyer slipped from my grasp, silhouettes danced across the walls. Into the atrium, I confessed everything… My sins, both grave and unsettling. My hopes and my dreams, both noble and petty. My love and my sorrow, both pure and true. Many questions chased, too many answers overdue. As dawn turned to dusk, throwing my resolve into the snow, my footsteps vanished quickly into bitter winds below. Forever searching, and forever seeking. Forever lacking words, yet forever speaking. Into the abyss, in which only echoes return. Forever beating, will this blackened heart ever burn? The man you swore you loved, and the boy who believed. The man who crossed deserts, mountains, rivers, and streams. Awaits perched high above the steps that ascend into heaven, parched from lost love that has long lingered seven. Seven long years ascending peaks and spanning seas, a stone’s throw away from the shadows of the gods, is where you’ll find what’s left of me.
