Array ( [sid] => 155523 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The Barrier Between Us [time] => 2009-12-01 09:30:33 [hometext] => I went to visit my best friend yesterday. He's turning 22 and is severely bipolar with schizophrenic episodes. He recently got out of the hospital for the third time in 2 years. He's getting worse, so bad that sometimes I don't know what hes saying [bodytext] => I saw a man today,
And he swears he is you,
His speech is full of riddles,
Speaks of knowin the truth
But he doesn't know everything,
Cause truth is I’m scared
Truth is he’s not the same
But can men be compared?
To what they were,
To what you knew,
To the things they said
Can that be proof?
Cause people change
And people grow
And they may be different
From the guy you know
But something’s not right
Something doesn’t make sense
I can’t follow your thoughts
And its makin me tense
There’s this barrier between us
And I know you feel it too
There’s this barrier between us
And there’s nothing I can do
You still have my friendship
And I’m still by your side
But I have know idea whats goin on
With the thoughts you keep inside
I see you try to gather
The thoughts up in your head
And you speak to me with purpose
But I don’t know what you said
So I force myself to smile
And give the support you need
I’ll hope and wish and pray
That one day you will be freed.

Very nicely done. When the reader feels what you're feeling, that's an impressive accomplishment.
