[bodytext] => In this darkend room I hide making friends with these mocking shadows. I know they will never leave my side. Conversations with the silence. This Life lost long before the cradle. Conception mothers only flaw. Chained down with emotion. The hope of happiness is gone. All my scars I'll wear with regret as tears fill old wounds. Dreams of a child are burried in me. I've grown to become what I hated in you. Consumed by anger, guided by fear. Truth and lies, it all feels the same hear. Fitting the mold of those who judge. My backs to the mirror. There is no returning from what's to come. Cold with panic the numbing starts. This smile I wear with out meaning as I walk a path that leads to blackend hearts. Draining passion from my blood, and tought how to love. Oh father how your words echo. "I'm proud of you son". So deperate for your aproval. I sold myself short of old promises. This once open minded boy grows up. Given a number and place in line. I have Comformed to that which I hoped to change. The irony is those who stand before me felt the same. Then shaped by lacking standerds this is what they too became. Well written. Your message was powerful. It's too true that we can lose that childlike wonder, innocence, and childhood dreams as we grow. Thanks for posting this poem. It was wonderful.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
