Array ( [sid] => 155374 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Stolen From Me [time] => 2009-11-26 00:52:37 [hometext] => I can relate this poem to reality of life of street children. Whenever i look into the eyes of those children i realize how blessed we are for having this opportunity to live life like we have. Let us extend our hands to less fortunate. [bodytext] => Live life to the fullest
free your spirit endlessly
breathe young soul with glory
be yourself, being and beauty

in a harmless beauty searching for liberty
full of happiness and perception in a new seed of personality
and on magnificent quality that the world must see
but no one knows this facades hides under a shameful lily

i earned my glory from my own victory
but nothing's changed for it never seemed
i'm always hiding in the shadow of immorality
like a lifeless tree standing in vain

in a cold dark night when nothing seems clear
under the pale moonlight that covers my beauty
tears run down from the eyes of young lily
the shadow of dark cloud haunt of infamy

they believed how criminal i was, full of crime in dirty hands
then i suffered from pain, illness and poverty
but i stole back my beauty that was been stolen form me
but in the eyes of young lily revenge it could not be

behind my sad eyes, pure heart and unstoppable dreams
behind my brave insight of new life in free
behind my sweet smile - misery reflects
i'm still scared hiding in the shadow of me.

then i learned how to fight, stand for my beauty
the beauty that i have is the weapon i must hold
then step by step i regained my BEAUTY
the DIGNITY that was once stolen from me

i did not kill, i did not lie - yes! i was a criminal
i stole a piece of bread because of hunger and poverty
they, but also a criminal in the eyes of young lily
coz' they stole what i lost - my STOLEN DIGNITY.

beautifully written...just the right amount of subtlety...
