The toll I'm reaping from a heart that’s causing it to ache
An empty mess of shattered feelings forcing cuts to bleed
The sorrow of a blinded man that once again must read
I walk along a road of taking granted all my treasures
The love that you have given me I cannot truly measure
Of all the things I've lost and longed for you will not be one
The ending of a fond connection causing tears to run
I promise you my one true love I'll give to you my all
Matter not the times you stumble, never will you fall
Having sense enough to care I'm always here to catch you
Giving to myself a task, that I won't turn my back to
Breaking loose the binds a fear was dragging on my soul
Now accepting substitutes for parts that made me whole
If our love is strong enough forever we can make it
And if I offer you my heart please promise not to break it
These words of loving memory I never will forget them
And even if they cut me deep I never shall regret them
Repeat my thoughts to help me focus, running from what’s right
I’m done denying how I feel, myself I will not fight
Accepting who I am inside, a key to being happy
And who I am is one with you whomever one might that be
Of all the ones I’ve ever loved I won’t leave you forsaken
Believe it from the open chest whose heart you’ve surely taken

You can keep it. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 190 [topic] => 2 [informant] => Redmurcury [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )
