If we could maybe talk.....
no, that's in my dreams
Why can I only think of you
and hope you come around

to hold your hand
or to be held in your strong arms
it's something I dream often

we maybe different
but we're a lot more alike than you'd like to think
keep believing that lie
but isn't it worth a try?

If not together, friends I hope
to walk, and talk, and share
a friend is great to have
especially one that cares

If I was the girl
I'd have jumped at the chance
she doesn't know what she's missing

From the moment I saw you catch that ball
I was drawn to you
I was so touched by everything
your kindness and your words

I feel the wall you've built
to keep your heart from harm
your past is painful
the emotions cause anger

I dream to tell my feelings
but this secret I must keep
maybe one day it will slip

I really think I'm trying too hard
for feeling the way I do
to think I had a chance
with the one you've become

I'll throw away my feelings
put it to the side
but when it will all come rushing back

I don't know why I feel like this
it brings me so much pain
to know I can't be with you
I guess you'll have to always be in my dreams

I'd really like to see you
go out, have fun
see a movie, hang out
