[title] => A Choice I Have To Make
[time] => 2003-04-03 02:23:35
[hometext] => written 17 November 2000. about having an abortion, losing a child, all the feelings and confusion and loss that go with it. even though i was 18 when it happened i think this poem could apply to other women much older as well.
[bodytext] => What’s this choice I have to make?
A precious life I have to take. As strange as it may sound and be, It’s like I’m killing you and me. A little life that we have made Will never see the light of day. A little dream that’s born inside, A little bit of you and I. Something that has happened twice, Now I have to pay the price. And even thought it’s a mistake, It’s just a choice I have to make. It haunts me every day and night To think that I’ve stopped someone’s life, But that life would be very wrong If I had let that life go on.
