How many poems must one write to be called a poet
How many words grouped together
Said aloud, must one hold in their control
How extensive of a vocabulary
Should a soul have to speak so prolifically
To be called poeticly gifted
When is a mind so enriched
That it digs deep within its own core
Dragging out the pain and hurt from itself
The afflicted mistreatment of its reincarnated being
Its own past lives
The loves, the hugs, the joys

How many poems must one write to be called a poet
How many love songs
And, been done wrongs
How many joyous occasions
Miserable situations
Torment, triumphs
Tears, Cheers
Heartbreaks, Breakups
Sensual nights, Lovers held tight
Quarrelsome fights
How many must one write

To be called a poet

How many
I miss you's
I long to kiss you's
Lord come save me
Her love enslaved me
Ballads beautifully done
Callus word spun

HOW MANY MUST ONE WRITE

Not to be among the ranks of the greats
Because the greats out do him
But am I wrong to pursue them
So many precious passages elude him
If he could just persuade them
To command him
Give him simple syllables
Complex conjunctions
Peculiar Puns

How many poems must one write to be called a poet
Then my poem spoke to me and said

"Poet you only need one"

Hi,

Only one - true - or as many as you wish.
It depends how many shackles are restraining
the soul!

Well written!

Tommy

Interesting and thought provoking but desperately needs punctuation
