Looking in the sky
What it was for i dont know.
But i noticed a tear roll down from his eye.
He quickly wiped it away and muttered a word.
Standing up and brushing himself down he kicked the dirt at his feet.

I knew not what drew my attention to his direction.
Nor why I cared so much about that singular tear.
It got me thinking but that time was shortly cut.
I moved on and turned to see a woman laying down a rose.
So graceful and gentle did the wind treat this sacrifice
As the rose touched the ground my skin did feel like ice.
So cold and bitter did she proceed to stamp on the flower.
In a million pieces she spat and walked away.

Why? I could not say. Just another thing i noticed in this darkened day.
I sat back down and spied a couple so happy in the moment.
The woman looking so optimistic and the man so innocent.
When all of a sudden she stopped and in shock horror
Screamed a noise so loud my my concentration snapped.
'Lucidity' was the word as she pushed him away.
He ran as fast as he could as she crumpled into the ground.
I tried to walk over i really did.
My feet failing to stand up and help.
My skin becoming numb. Feeling was lost.
She lay there.
As seconds became hours.
Hours into days.
Seasons passed.
Years.
She aged all alone, in the park.
As my skin started to get feeling back.
But yet i couldn't move, as i noticed a thousand people, millions maybe walking past her.
Not a single one looking down.
Not a single one hearing her shouts.

As if a wave of thought hit me in that instance.
I was alone.
The whole thing pieced together quicker then anything had in the past.
So fast did true feeling.
But not of realisation.
More of a dawning.
I was dreaming, none of this was real.
But couldn't help as if this was meant to mean something to me.

Eventually one day it did.
I soon realised everything is so incignifigant.
You cant except the hand of others to be so kind.
Everyone can spare a tear for you when your gone.
If you make the effort of leaving a legacy.
But when your six feet under will people regret your death.
Will they leave roses so kind?.

You may feel alone,
No one may notice you.
That is very easily done.
Everything you need can be taken away in a instance.
How you react is down to you.

Lucid Dreams.
How i hate you. [comments] => 0 [counter] => 133 [topic] => 73 [informant] => liamleash [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => abstract )

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
